SUMMARY:Shifting Landscapes\, Photography Exhibition & Private View\, Norwich
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the Private View of Shifting Landscapes\, featuring photography by Shahram Saadat\, on Wednesday 25th January 2017 between 5 – 7pm at The Adnams Bar\, Norwich Theatre Royal\, Theatre Street\, Norwich\, NR2 1RL. The exhibition continues until 23/04/17 \nShifting Landscapes explores the difference and similarities between a variety of locations\, looking closely at architecture and our place within it. This is a study of form within our urban environment\, the colours at play and the composite structure created by different planes and textures. Travelling and documenting Saadat’s different surroundings has always intrigued and occupied him. David Hurn described how\, in order to capture an authentic reaction\, the voyeur has to document their new surroundings within the first forty-eight hours. If not\, he said\, those surroundings become the norm\, which in turn\, results in us becoming immune to what was at first intriguing. \nShifting Landscapes is Saadat’s exploration of the eye accustoming itself to different scenes which\, ultimately\, can only be analysed in their entirety photographically. This refers to the notion explored by Henri Lefebvre that space only exists once it has been observed\, otherwise it remains elusive. Shifting Landscapes is a collection of composed and captured space. \nBorn in Paris (1995) and initially a documentary photographer\, Saadat’s work has shifted from the instant impact of the photograph to the concept behind it\, resulting in a more fine-art approach. He is intrigued by the differences and similarities between reality and fiction and the subsequent role of the photographic image. \nSaadat has been involved in a number of group exhibitions including: ‘Future Artefacts’ Tate Modern\, ‘W Kiosqu’ Filtry Dobra Kawa\, Warsaw\, ‘L’Amerique’ Marche aux Puces\, Paris\, ‘Portraits of Britain’ The Strand Gallery\, London. This will be Saadat’s second solo exhibition in Norwich. He is currently completing his BA in Photography at University Of The Arts London College of Communication. \nProudly sponsored by Targetfollow Estates Ltd. \nShare this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n\n	Related\n
