For the first show of 2017, RISEgallery will be transformed into a radiant explosion of light and colour for its first ever light-only show, ‘The Light Within’.

The exhibition will present a cross section of who we feel represent a great selection of contemporary neon artists of our time; Lauren Baker, Harry Black, Jimmy Galvin and Illuminati Neon, and more…

From the strong in-your-face punk imagery of Illuminati Neon to Lauren Baker’s more personal aesthetic with handwritten neon signs, ‘The Light Within’ brings together some of the best examples of this medium. Each artist has a different approach to the art form, making it his or her own.
